Tutoring Services

Northern Michigan University has several tutoring programs for its students, including its online and distance learning students. Obviously, it’s not possible to provide face-to-face services, but in some cases tutors are able to provide support via e-mail, chat rooms and online discussion groups.

The three main tutoring service areas at NMU are:

• All-Campus Tutoring
• Math and Computer Science Tutoring Labs
• Writing Center

Staff contact e-mail addresses and phone numbers are listed on all three Web sites. When you call or e-mail, please be sure to make it clear that you are an online or distance education student and that you are not available for the on-campus service options.

In addition to helping you find tutoring assistance, the All-Campus Tutoring and Writing Center sites offer resource materials to improve your study and classroom habits, as well as your writing skills.
