Robin Sloan is a media inventor, which means he is interested in creating content and then figuring out how it is to be shared. This means he spends times a great amount of time making content, and then experimenting with the new formats, new tools and technology to disperse it. An example of this is his app "Fish".
Sloan grew up in downstate Michigan, near Detroit and attended school at Michigan State. While at college, he studied economics and co-founded the literary magazine Oats. After graduation Sloan worked at Poynter, Current TV, and Twitter "figuring out the future of media". Currently he is the author of Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore.
