JUDGING AND PRIZES: Entries will be read by a panel of judges. There will be three winners in each category. Essays will be judged on content, creativity, and relevance. With permission, the two top winners will have their essays printed in the January 2007 issue of the Marquette Monthly and shared on this Web site. A public reading of all 6 winning essays will be held on January 18, 2007, 7:00 p.m. at Peter White Public Library. The prizes include:

Adults
- 1st prize: $100 gift certificate from Snowbound Books;
- 2nd prize: a bountiful basket of Mexican foods;
- 3rd prize: Latin music

Students
- 1st prize: $50 gift certificate from Snowbound Books;
- 2nd prize: gift certificate for Mexican food;
- 3rd prize: Latin music.
Submissions become the property of the One Book committee and will not be returned.
