Last call for Study Abroad in THAILAND and CAMBODIA

LAST CALL for Study Abroad in THAILAND and CAMBODIA; a 2013 Winter (or Summer Session 1) class with travel dates in May 9 -June 7 2013! The deadline for registering is Monday, February 25. A decision will be made about the program soon after. We can still include a few more adventurous individuals desiring to see the world and experience another exotic culture (hint).

For one week each, immerse yourself in mega-city melting pot Bangkok, ancient Silk Road walled city Chiang Mai, and experience the tropical beach culture of Phuket, plus traditional rural village life and the ancient cities of Angkor Wat in Cambodia. Shop in exotic floating and night markets; tour spectacular World Heritage sites, Buddhist temples, and ancient ruins; explore hill tribe villages and more, while learning about Southeast Asian history, politics, society, culture and arts. The last group who went called it the trip of a lifetime -- and we've made it even better this time!

Appropriate for undergraduate and graduate students of any major. Community members and students at other universities also welcome. Estimated cost
$4-5,000 including all airfares, housing, excursions and entrance fees, much food, insurance, even a mobile phone. At 3 to 4 NMU credits for less than $180/day, probably the best educational deal of any NMU faculty-led study abroad program! And no language required

For more information, contact: Professor Peter Goodrich, pgoodric@nmu.edu (906) 226-2828, Professor William Ball,

Financial Aid is available, and if you are out of Winter 2013 financial aid, then you can register for Summer Session 1.
