Cohodas Literary Prize Contest 2014 (Open to All Students)

Dear Students,

The Lois and Willard Cohodas Literary Prize contest is a writing contest organized through the English Department but open to students of all majors.

So, if you or anyone you know has something to say about any of the broad range of human rights issues confronting us all, please be aware that everybody is warmly invited to submit an essay on what concerns them--and may win up to $500. Details can be found at this Web address, http://www.nmu.edu/english/node/83.

The deadline for submissions this year (March 17) is still several weeks away, so there is yet plenty of time to polish up a paper from a class (if appropriate) or write something new especially for the contest!

Moreover, by submitting something you will have the satisfaction of joining together with others who reject human rights abuse in all its forms.

Sincerely yours,

Gabriel Brahm
Associate Professor of English & Cohodas Literary Prize Committee Chair 2014
