AHA Heartsaver First Aid CPR/AED and BLS Courses

NMU’s School of Health and Human Performance announces upcoming American Heart Association courses will be offered as follows:

HEARTSAVER FIRST AID CPR/AED-SESSION #1*
-Friday February 21, 2014, 3:00 pm -6:00 pm, AND Saturday, February, 22, 2014, 10:00 am-1:00 pm. Registrants must attend both days. Registration deadline February 19th.
Location: PEIF Room #242
Textbook: AHA Heartsaver First Aid/CPR/AED Course: ISBN, 978-1-61669-017-5*
OR
HEARTSAVER FIRST AID CPR/AED-SESSION #2*
-Friday March 21, 2014, 3:00 pm -7:00 pm, AND Saturday, March, 22, 2014, 10:00 am-1:00 pm.
Registrants must attend both days. Registration deadline March 14th.

*Important note for Education Majors: Successful completion of the Heartsaver First Aid CPR/AED course satisfies the First Aid and CPR requirement for new teacher certification in the State of Michigan.

BLS FOR HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS-SESSION #3**
-Friday March 28, 2014, 3:00 pm -7:00 pm

Registration deadline March 21st.
Textbook: American Heart Association-BLS for Health Care Providers, ISBN#978-1-61669-039-7
**The BLS for Healthcare Providers course is appropriate for Nursing and Pre-Med majors.

Course Fees: $50 (Full-time NMU students rate)

These American Heart Association student workbooks/manuals may be purchased on the NMU Bookstore. Students are required to have access to the correct text before, during, and after the course, and must be AHA 2011 or newer editions.
