Climate Change Politics in U.S. and Brazil

What information about climate change do different national publics receive from their news media? Does it vary, and how does it matter what issues are debated and how they are framed? Is "climate skepticism" or "-denialism" a cross-cultural phenomenon?

Myanna Lahsen will tackle the questions in a discussion at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, at Mead Auditorium in West Science. The event is free and open to the public.

Dr. Lahsen,a senior research associate at the Brazilian Institute for Space Research, reviews the basis of empirical research performed in the U.S. and internationally, with special attention to anti-environmentalism in the U.S. and Brazil.
