Schlumberger
Technology is the foundation of our company. Engineers, Researchers, and Operations professionals help drive our success. Inventing new technologies—and refitting existing ones for new applications—is what we do. Virtually everything we use in the field is created, developed, and manufactured by Schlumberger people. Innovation is the norm and excellence in service quality is the benchmark. From your first day at Schlumberger, you’ll work on actual customer projects and have real responsibility. You’ll be an important part of a team, with opportunities to work with some of the industry’s best scientists and engineers and collaborate with leaders from both professional and academic communities. Regardless of where you join the company, or in which business line, all new engineers go through a fixed-step training program for the first three years. It can be challenging, both mentally and physically. You may travel to remote places and spend long hours working, especially in the field, but every day brings something new and the rewards of such a job are hard to match.
Schlumberger will be on campus recruiting for their Field Specialist position. For more information about this position, you can visit their website (www.careers.slb.com) or view the job posting in Cat Career Tracks. In addition to attending the Job Fair, they will be holding an information session later that evening (3/20) at 6:30 PM. Sign-up is not required, but an RSVP through Cat Career Tracks is preferred. It is recommended that you attend the presentation if you would like an interview. To apply for an interview, email your resume and cover letter to Career Services (careers@nmu.edu) by March 16, 2013.
