Come support NMU Women For Women’s new event called Fill a Bus For Kids Like Us. We are kindly asking for donations and the collected items will be distributed to four great places. This needs drive will be benefitting The Women’s Center & Harbor House, Teaching Family Homes, KI Sawyer Elementary, and Bay Cliff Health Camp. Look for our Women For Women banner and/or table on these dates: November 15th at the Masonic Building for Marquette Ladies Night, November 29th at the Marquette Holiday Parade as well as the start of the parade route at the Berry Events Center, and lastly on December 4th at the NMU vs MTU Hockey Game. In the meantime, if you have donations and/or cannot make these dates we have drop off sites throughout the community. All NMU residence hall front desks, Donckers, Marquette and Negaunee Family Video, Marquette Border Grill, Hats Off Hair Design of Ishpeming, as well as Forsberg all have boxes to place your items. The items that we are looking for are:
- paper products (toilet paper, paper towel, Kleenex)
- non-perishable food items
- new school supplies
- new gloves, hats, scarves, winter jackets
- new toiletries
- new books
- new/gently used toys and plush animals
