Contra and Old-Time Square Dance

CONTRA and OLD-TIME SQUARE DANCE - Friday, March 23 at Dance Zone, 1113 Lincoln Avenue (at College) in Marquette.

Come and dance or just listen to the traditional music of All Strings Considered. Haven't danced before? Don't worry. A caller will lead you through the steps. Contra dancing is one of the oldest forms of social dance, having enjoyed a couple of centuries of popularity in England, Ireland and France before finding it's own American style.
This is a FAMILY-FRIENDLY event. Suitable for all ages. Please do bring clean shoes to protect the dance floor as well as the dancers.
Also - square and country dance lessons each Friday at 7 PM.

When: March 23, 7:30-10:00 PM. Donation requested to help pay for the band.
Where: Dance Zone, 1113 Lincoln Avenue (at College) just steps away from campus.
Cost: Free to NMU students.
Refreshments will be served.

Hope to see you on the dance floor.
