CPR for the Professional Rescuer Certification
NMU Rec Sports is offering CPR certification for the professional rescuer/health care provider through the American Red Cross. The purpose of the course is to teach those with a duty to act (professional rescuers) the skills needed to respond appropriately to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults, children, and infants. This includes the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) to care for a victim of cardiac arrest. This course is great for those students seeking certification for the Nursing, Athletic Training, or Pre-Med testing requirement. Certification will be offered on January 29 from 12-6pm. For more information please check out our website at www.nmu.edu/recreation or contact Katie Theut 227-2421.
