This publication is intended to be a comprehensive catalog of research in British and Imperial history and that now in progress in the United States and Canada. It is the fifth such catalog to be compiled under the sponsorship of the Conference on British Studies. Earlier editions appeared in 1953, 1955, 1957 and 1960.
