Holiday Greetings to All — We have some wonderful winter classes we hope you’ll
take advantage of, including NCLL traditions – the Ethnic Dinner (Chinese
this year in honor of the Summer Olympics in Beijing), an amazing variety of
indoor programs, and for those who love the out of doors, a couple of hikes
(with or without snowshoes). Also, as the holidays approach, we encourage you to
consider gift memberships available for purchase from our office for $20.
These are a marvelous way to expand giving throughout the year, especially
since they add no calories or clutter to the life of the recipient. Finally, please notice the listing of our Board of Directors
and our meeting dates. We welcome you to consider becoming a board member. We
have just one opening. Those of us on the board find it gratifying to plan
events of wide interest to the community and we find our bi-monthly meetings
(6 per year) a great way to meet stimulating people from around the area and
beyond familiar social circles. We invite you to attend any of our Board
meetings and watch this happen!

If you are not a member and would like to receive a
single complementary copy of the Newsletter, please go to the Membership
Page, print out an application for membership, complete and
return it (without the membership fee) to the NCLL office. A primary benefit
of membership is early notice of upcoming classes. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We would like to extend our deepest thanks to Chris Lopac
and Brandon Bromley, two students in Sandy Poindexter's class, who developed
our website for us as a service learning project. We wish them all the best
as they continue their studies or careers. Thanks guys. |
