Events in Indian Country

• The Tenth Annual Drums Along the Hudson:  A Native American Festival will take place Sunday, May 20, 2012 in Upper Manhattan's Inwood Hill Park.  The event is free and will take place in rain or shine. 
• The Michigan Tech AISES conference will be held April 12-14, 2012. 
• The Northwest Portland Area Indian Health Board is hosting a Summer Research Training Institute for American Indian and Alaska Native Health Professionals from June 11 - June 28, 2012.  Registration is due by May 14, 2012. 
• STAY Project (Sault Tribe Alive Youth) - Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians - is sponsoring a writing and video contest.  Official Rules are located at the STAY Project website.  Deadline for submission is March 2, 2012.
