Anishinaabe News is dedicated to featuring Native American-related news, perspectives, and artwork. Writers, photographers, and proofreaders (Native and non-Native) are needed and welcomed. If you’re interested in contributing to Anishinaabe News, please read our submission guidelines here.

The historical Nishnawbe News began in 1971 and grew to a circulation of more than 8,000. Decreases in funding halted publication in 1983. Anishinaabe News returned as an online publication by the staff of the Center for Native American Studies in 2002. In October 2005, it made its comeback as a student-run print publication.
