About Ziegner
Chicago/Detroit native Dave Ziegner performed in the San Francisco Bay area for many years, appearing with such greats as Peter Erskine, Mike Stern, and Bob Mintzer. Since moving to Marquette, he has been active in the local mainstream jazz scene, including being a founding member of the the Finnish reggae band Conga Se Menne and leader for the Latin jazz group Como Caliente. Other frequent collaborations are with the Don Bays Trio, jazz singer Kirsten Gustafson, and the Kippola/Ziegner Quartet. Dave also works as an active studio musician. An NMU music alumnus, he has served as clinician and adjudicator at NMU jazz festivals and is a member of the NMU Faculty and Friends Jazz Combo.
