Music Alumni- Keeping in Touch

For many years, a newsletter called Music Notes has been mailed to music alumni and friends on a periodic basis.  Currently we are working with the alumni and communications staff to determine the best ways to stay in touch.  When through this page, a Facebook site, or other means, our goal is to stay in contact with as many alumni as possible.  Please contact Dr. Engelhart, the department head with suggestions or questions.

Alumni information must come from you, so take a moment to get in touch.  The  'Alumni Update' tab to the left will connect you to the alumni office, but we hope you will also contact the department directly with news about professional and personal milestones. What other NMU music alums have you been in contact with? A picture is worth a thousand words; send current photos or something from the past.   Here a couple of recent examples:

Bob Moore, Marquette trumpeter, with former faculty members Allen Niemi, Hal Wright, and Ruth Mathews.  At a gathering of former music faculty in Marquette in August, 2012

Robert Buchkoe, pianist and NMU alumnus, at a gathering for former music faculty in August 2012

Members of the Arts Chorale from various years under the direction of Dr. Douglas Amman had an informal gathering on August 18, 2012.  Joining hosts Randy and Diane Veale at their home in Gwinn were Dr. Amman and his wife Jean, Jayme Bell, David Dagenais, Joanne Olivier, Kathy Risse, Mary Trolla (former director of the Negaunee Choruses), and Elizabeth Snyder.
