Shirley has been with the Multicultural Center since 1994 and holds a master of fine arts degree in creative writing. She is a contingent professor with the Center for Native American Studies. Originally from Ironwood, Shirley relocated to the Marquette area in 1989. She has three adult children, one grandson and one granddaughter.  In her spare time she likes to read, knit, and catch Glee or America's Got Talent on TV.

Rena is originally from Gwinn, Michigan.  She holds her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Lake Superior State University.  In her spare time she enjoys reading, movies, traveling, fourwheeling, volunteering, and family time (Especially with her 2 young children, Karson and Lillian).

Megan is a graduate of Michigan State University in Mechanical Engineering.  Here at NMU, she is pursuing a MS in Exercise Science.  Megan is an avid runner and triathlete as well as a hockey player.  She is looking forward to all of the amazing trails and experiences Marquette has to offer.

Samanthia is a senior majoring in zoology. She was born and bred Jamaican and takes great pride in her Jamaican nationality and culture.  She loves sharing her culture with others, so feel free to come and ask her about it. She is a member of Northern's women's track and field team as a thrower and as a three time All-American and All-Academic athlete. She enjoys working at the MERC and meeting the many different students that come in on a daily basis.

Ravyn is a sophomore at NMU with a major is Social Work and a minor in Human Behavior. She is from Dunedin, Florida. Her hobbies include meeting new people, volunteering and watching Netflix. She loves Beyonce, sour patch kids and people who can make her laugh. Ravyn is also a first generation college student and the youngest of eight siblings. She loves to work at the MERC because she is allowed to be her true self and represent something she feels so strong about.

Madeline is a junior this year at NMU with a major in Communications and a double minor in Gender and Sexuality Studies and Spanish. She is from Gladstone, Michigan and loves Fall in the U.P. Madeline hopes to be a transgender advocate while using her small town experience as an inspiration to Trans youth. In her free time she loves to kayak and binge watch Orange is the New Black.

Samantha is a senior majoring in Psychology from Detroit, Michigan.  She hopes to open her own practice focusing on intimate relation communication and family matters.  Choosing Northern was a great decision.  She's learned so much about herself and has been exposed to so much in the past three years that she would not have received at another university.

Cecilia is a sophomore majoring in Neuroscience and Computer Science.  She is from Ludington, Michigan and is a member of the NMU-OTS for weightlifting.  She hopes to be the world's top neurosurgeon and eventually win a Nobel Prize for her research on Alzheimer Disease.  She also loves watching Game of Thrones and eating Rice Paddy.
