Shirley has been with the Multicultural Center since 1994 and holds a master of fine arts degree in creative writing. She is a contingent professor with the Center for Native American Studies. Originally from Ironwood, Shirley relocated to the Marquette area in 1989. She has three adult children, one grandson and one granddaughter.  In her spare time she likes to read, knit, and catch Glee or America's Got Talent on TV.

Rena is originally from Gwinn, Michigan.  She holds her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Lake Superior State University.  In her spare time, she enjoys reading, movies, traveling, fourwheeling, volunteering, and family time.  Rena’s favorite location that she has traveled to, so far, is Anchorage, Alaska.

T.J. is pursuing a Master’s degree in Higher Education in Student Affairs. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from NMU in May of 2014. T.J. enjoys ice hockey, guitar, and spending time near the shorelines of Lake Superior.

Sara is a senior from Milwaukee, Wisconsin majoring in Political Science with minors in Art & Design and Public Relations. She is involved in various student organizations including: College Democrats, ASNMU, Platform Personalities, Pi Sigma Alpha and Mortar Board. Sara loves riding her bicycle and other outdoor activities. She also enjoys the Marquette community and all of its glory.

Samanthia is an easy going and kind person that is family oriented. She is a junior and I major in zoology. Samanthia was born and raised in Jamaica and loves to share her culture with others. She loves the beach, animals and watching movies.

Julia is a pre-medical student and is seeking a Neuroscience degree. Her future career goals are to become an Emergency medical doctor in a hospital somewhere near mountains as she is highly passionate about rock and ice climbing, backpacking, kayaking, and swimming. If you ask, she will tell you all the best places where to climb or hike around Marquette.
