Biography and Assignment History:

On 12 September 2000, CPT Whitfield enlisted in the United States Army as a Field Artilleryman at Fort Sill, OK. CPT Whitfield received his commission into the United States Army as a Field Artillery Officer at Fort Sill, OK.

Captain Whitfield has held various positions as a Field Artillery Officer, to include: Battery Fire Direction Officer, Platoon Leader, Battery Executive Officer, Regimental Assistant S3, and  Regimental Headquarters and Headquarters Troop Commander with the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment.

CPT Whitfield is a graduate of the Nuclear Biological and Chemical Course, Captain’s Career Course, Joint Firepower Course, and Basic Airborne School.

CPT Whitfield's awards and decorations include: The Army Commendation Medal (2 OLC), Army Achievement Medal (3 OLC), Army Good Conduct Medal, Army Service Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Ranger Tab, and Parachute Badge.
