Jimmy Evans was born and raised in Goodrich, Michigan. The youngest of four children, he attended Goodrich High School and graduated in 1992. He joined the United States Army in 1993 and went to basic training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. His first assignment was with the 43rd CEC 2/3 ACR at Fort Bliss, TX as a Supply Specialist. In 1994 he spent time at Camp Doha, Kuwait for Intrinsic action. He followed the 43rd CEC 2/3 ACR as they were re-stationed to Fort Carson, Colorado. His next assignment was with the NCO Academy at Fort Jackson, South Carolina where he was the Supply Sergeant while accounting for over 2 million dollars of equipment. He was medically chaptered from the military in November 2000 because of being an insulin dependent diabetic. Mr. Evans came to the Northern Michigan University Army ROTC in March of 2005. While serving as the Supply Tech for Northern Michigan University Mr. Evans has received 2 Commendables for his supply room. He has also received meritorious cash awards as well as one grade increase. Mr. Evans lives in Trenary, Michigan with his wife, Angela and their two children Zachary and Megan.
