Leadership Development Exercises (LDX)
In the photo above was a field training exercise with Michigan Tech. University.
Battalion Leadership Development Exercises (LDX's) happen twice a year on a weekend during the semester. In the fall semester LDX is usually in the local area and consists of land navigation, common tasks and skills covered in military science classes. The Spring LDX is usually conducted outside the local area at a nearby military installation or training area and is normally conducted jointly with another university ROTC unit such as Michigan tech University. The spring LDX usually consists of advanced day and night land navigation, squad and platoon tactical exercises. This training provides time for cadets to readily test their knowledge and what they learned throughout the year.
