Field Training Exercises (FTX)

Normal Battalion Field Training Exercises (FTX's) happen twice a year on a weekend running from Friday to Sunday. The fall FTX is usually in the local area and consists of land navigation, common tasks and Situational Training Exercises (STX's). The Spring FTX is usually conducted outside the local area at a nearby military installation or training area and is normally conducted jointly with another university ROTC unit. The spring FTX usually consists of advanced day and night land navigation and squad and platoon tactical exercises.
