2013 Celebration of Student Works
McNair students' third outing at the annual NMU Celebration of Student Research, Creative Works, and Academic Service Learning was a success! Six McNair Scholars presented their research with either an oral presentation or a poster presentation.
Scholar Ashley Schmeling's research poster was awarded 2nd place for an undergraduate group project poster. Here is Ashley (second from left) with her Faculty Mentor, Dr. Adam Prus and lab partners at the Society for Neuroscience Conference. Ashley also gave an oral presentation, which was very well received.
Recent graduate Rachel Sines was awarded second place for individual undergraduate research poster.
Ricki Oldenkamp presented her poster on research she conducted at Duke University in the Dog Cognition Lab.
Brittany Schryvers' poster detailed her work with Dr. Quinnell from the psychology department on Jealousy in Friendships.
Rozemary Howard presented a poster detailing her ongoing work with Dr. Erich Ottem.
Scholar Emily Hansen presented her project with Dr. Martin Reinhardt on the Decolonizing Diet Project orally and with a poster.
2012 Celebration of Student Works
On April 12, 2012 twelve McNair scholars presented a poster or did an oral presentation about the research they've conducted in the last year. Two McNair students took home top honors for the best undergraduate and graduate posters. Overall, the day was a huge success and everyone did a great job!
Matt Keiser took home the award for the Best Undergraduate Poster.
