Undergraduate Research

Student in laboratoryThe summer research component is a large part of the McNair Program and one that every scholar has to complete before they graduate. Scholars prepare and work closely with their faculty mentor for many months prior to beginning their research. After six weeks of working hard on their research project, students begin work on their research paper and poster. For all their efforts, scholars can receive up to $2,500 in research stipend money and two college credits.
