The Northern Michigan University Foundation invites campus and community members to the grand opening of the Beaumier Alumni Welcome and U.P. Heritage Center. The event will be held from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, April 28, with a ribbon cutting at 5 p.m. It will mark the official opening of the center and honor Dr. John Beaumier, whose $1 million gift to the NMU Foundation helped to make the project possible.
Beaumier is tentatively scheduled to give remarks, along with NMU President Fritz Erickson and NMU Foundation Board of Trustees President Mark Pynnonen. The U.P. Heritage Center will premier its new exhibit, “Made in the U.P.,” and refreshments will be provided. Please RSVP to email@example.com. The center is located at the corner of Seventh and Lee Streets on NMU’s campus.
