Participants can start anytime between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. The test takes about 30 minutes to complete and will be used to generate a 20-week walking plan tailored to each individual.

There will also be a drawing for a free pair of walking shoes from Johnson’s Superior Shoes.

The event is sponsored by NMU, Marquette General Health Systems, the YMCA, the Mining Journal and Achieve Marquette.
