MICHAEL IAN BLACK TO SPEAK AT NMU

                                   

            Michael Ian Black, comedian and pop culture commentator, will speak at Northern Michigan University on Wednesday, Nov. 19. Platform Personalities is sponsoring his appearance, which is scheduled for 7 p.m. in the University Center Great Lakes Rooms.

            Black is most recognized for his commentary on such shows as VH1’s I Love the ‘70s/’80s/’90s. He also co-founded and starred in two comedy series: The State, which played on MTV and CBS; and Stella on Comedy Central.

            Black is working as editor at large of the humor magazine, Cracked. His first book, My Custom Van (And 46 Other Mind-Blowing Essays That Will Blow Your Mind All Over Your Face) is scheduled to be released in July of this year.

            Admission is free for NMU students with ID and $2 for non-students.
