NCLL PROGRAM FOCUSES ON OWLS

            MARQUETTE, Mich.—Tom Noren, originator of the former “What’s Flying” column in the Mining Journal, will present a Northern Center for Lifelong Learning program on owls of the Upper Peninsula. It is scheduled from 7-8:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 3, in room 101-B of the Superior Dome.

            Noren will discuss the identifying characteristics, habits, vocalizations and typical habitats of owls. His presentation will be accompanied by a selection of slides, audio tapes and video segments.

            Cost is $4 for NCLL members and $7 for non-members. Please register by Friday, Oct. 31, by calling class liaison Lucille Scotti at 249-3640.
