NCLL PRESENTS ‘EXPLORING MOZART’S OPERA’

The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will present “Exploring Mozart’s Opera: Cosi Fan Tutte” from 2-4 p.m. Thursday, May 29, in room 101-B of the Superior Dome at Northern Michigan University.

Opera enthusiast Jim Hendricks will guide participants through the innuendos of “Cosi Fan Tutte.” The opera stars two pairs of lovers who choose to test the fidelity of women. Hendricks will help attendees look for the satire, parody, irony and emotional power of love that make up the opera. Two other operas by Mozart, “The Marriage of Figaro” and “Don Giovanni” are related to “Cosi Fan Tutte” and may be worked into the presentation.

The cost for this event is $4 for NCLL members and $7 for nonmembers. For more information or to register, contact class liaison Nancy Lutey at 906-226-2838. The deadline for registration is Friday, May 23.
