The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will host a class titled “Balanced Nutrition for Seniors” at Northern Michigan University. The class is scheduled from 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, in room 311 of the Learning Resources Center. NMU professor Mohey Mowafy will lead the seminar. In this class, attendees will learn pros and cons of food choices, what quantities will benefit them and the nutrition, health and vitamin values of various foods. Mowafy will also speak about the benefits and drawbacks of some frozen meals. A slide show will accompany the presentation and a question-and-answer session will follow.
