MARQUETTE – Mary Lincoln Campbell of Ann Arbor was granted Trustee Emeritus status by the Northern Michigan University Board of Trustees at its May 5 meeting.
Campbell served on the board from her gubernatorial appointment on Feb. 25, 1997, to the end of her scheduled term on Dec. 31, 2004. She sat on several board committees during her tenure, and also served one-year periods as both vice chair and chair.
Her support of NMU has extended beyond her former duties as trustee. She established the Campbell Scholarship Fund in the NMU Foundation, which currently provides financial assistance to 15 honor students each year.
