BROOK TROUT MIGRATION SEMINAR AT NMU

            MARQUETTE – Northern Michigan University will host a biology seminar titled “Migratory Activity of Two Strains of Brook Trout (Salvelinus fontinalis) in Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore Characterized Using Stationary RFID Systems” at noon Thursday, May 11, in Mead Auditorium.

            Sean Stimmell, NMU master’s candidate, will present. He will discuss the migration patterns of brook trout, which are native to Michigan’s waters and are also the state fish, as documented at Pictured Rocks using radio frequency identification.
