MARQUETTE – Northern Michigan University will host a “One Hope” all-campus prayer night at 7 p.m. Friday, April 7, in Jamrich Hall room 103.

“One Hope” is a collaborative effort between the four main Christian groups on campus: Intervarsity Christian Fellowship, Campus Crusade for Christ, His House, and Catholic Campus Ministry. The purpose of the event is to give students and members of the general public a place to get together for a night of Christian worship and prayer.

Brian Brinkman, a senior zoology major, said that Intervarsity Christian Fellowship has been trying to plan the event for a long time.

“It’s been in the works for awhile, but up to this point it never worked out because it didn’t have the collaborative efforts of other groups that it has this time around,” he said. “Things started to fall together after we joined forces.”

The night will begin with a “meet and greet” time to give students and other participants the opportunity to get to know each other. The rest of the evening will consist of collaborative prayer, singing worship, a prayer for campus, and a short film titled Impressions.

This event is free of charge, and refreshments will be served. For more information, contact Brinkman at 517-242-3718.
