MARQUETTE – The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will present “Hospitality Services: A Beacon House Tour” from 1-3 p.m. Thursday, April 6, at Beacon House.

Established in 2001, Beacon House is one of the nation’s largest independent non-profit hospitality programs. Designed to give Marquette General Hospital (MGH) patients and their families a home-like environment, the facility houses 15,000 patients and caregivers annually, regardless of their ability to pay.

Beacon House staff members Dave Bammert and Gerry Beck along with Margaret Parker of Marquette General Health Systems will guide the tour and give a brief history of the facility. They will also discuss future development plans, volunteer activities, and the hospitality rooms at MGH.

The cost is $4 for NCLL members and $7 for nonmembers. The registration deadline is Tuesday, April 4. To register, contact the NCLL office at 227-2979. For more information, contact the class liaison at 228-2227.
