MARQUETTE – The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will present “International Short Wave Radio Listening” from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, at the Forslin residence on 8 Southfork Street in Marquette. Driving instructions will be sent to enrollees.

            Participants will use world program guides to learn how to find short wave programs such as language courses, local news, international commentary, cooking shows, music performances and radio drama.

            John Forslin will also discuss how to select an appropriate radio for home or camp, and offer advice about the use of antennas and headphones. Participants should bring a brown bag supper with them.

            The cost is $4 for NCLL members and $7 for nonmembers. The registration deadline is Monday, April 3. To register, contact the NCLL office at 227-2979. For more information, contact Forslin at 249-3229.
