MARQUETTE – Northern Michigan University will host a biology seminar titled “Neutrophil Gene Expression during Labor and Parturition: Is the Birthing Process an Endocrine-induced Inflammatory Response?” at 3 p.m. Thursday, March 16, at Mead Auditorium.
Jeanne Burton of the immunogenetics laboratory at Michigan State University will give the presentation. She will explain the connection between neutrophil gene expression and the birthing process, and discuss how this process could possibly be a response induced by the endocrine system.
