MARQUETTE – The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will present “Tibet: Much More than Mount Everest” from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, March 7, in room 101B of the Superior Dome.
Bill Thompson, co-owner of Downwind Sports, will offer a discussion and slide show of his recent trip to Tibet. His group of four was led by a guide through areas where Westerners seldom go, including monasteries, tiny villages, and the only Tibetan-owned orphanage.
The cost is $4 for NCLL members and $7 for nonmembers. The registration deadline is Friday, March 3. To register, contact the NCLL office at 227-2979. For more information, contact the class liaison at 228-9367.
