MARQUETTE – Rob Engelhart, music professor at Northern Michigan University, will give a plot and character overview of Gilbert and Sullivan’s “Patience” at 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 12, in Thomas Fine Arts room 250.

This event will serve as an introduction to “Patience” for those who are interested in auditioning for the upcoming NMU opera production. Auditions will be held on Saturday, Jan. 28, and are open to students, faculty, staff and the general public.

Attending the preview is not a requirement for the audition. Engelhart will also play video excerpts of the opera and discuss how to prepare for the auditions.

The performance dates of “Patience” will be May 18-20. For more information, contact Engelhart at 227-1038.
