OUTDOOR ADVERTISING COLLOQUIUM AT NMU

            MARQUETTE – In conjunction with the Business Seminar Series, Northern Michigan University will present “Assessing the Effectiveness of Outdoor Advertising” from noon-1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, in the Cohodas Building room 304.  A light lunch will be served.

            Tuula Ryhänen, a visiting marketing professor from the Haaga Polytechnic Institute in Finland, will discuss the results of a study that collected data from 100 different outside advertising campaigns where more than 260,000 subjects were interviewed by Clear Channel Finland Ltd in an effort to better understand what influences outdoor advertising has on consumer behavior.  The results of this study are useful to advertisers, media planners and advertising agencies.  Future research efforts in this area will also be discussed.
