NMU COLLOQUIUM FOCUSES ON WRITING INSTRUCTION

MARQUETTE – "Psychology and the Teaching on Writing: Emotions, Disclosure and Relationship" will be the topic of the next psychology colloquium at Northern Michigan University. It is scheduled at 3:10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, in Gries Hall room 167.

The presenter is Kia Jane Richmond, co-director of NMU’s English education program and assistant professor of English-secondary education. She will tell about the emotions students experience during writing or attribute to writing, as well as to their writing instructors. She will attempt to encourage participants to reflect about their own beliefs about teaching and writing.
