NMU OFFERS CHANCE FOR KIDS TO LEARN GERMAN

            MARQUETTE – The modern languages and literatures department at Northern Michigan University is offering a two-week course on German this summer for children ages 7-10.

The course is scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday, beginning Aug. 8 and ending Aug. 19. It will be held in West Science room 2806.

            The course will cover topics such as movement, numbers and the alphabet. Students will play games and take short outings to reinforce in-class activities. Instructors are Jessica Straczowski, a certified language teacher and native German speaker, and Jason Woolman, a German language certified student. Refreshments and snacks will be provided.
