MARQUETTE – A concert featuring 311, with special guest Alien Ant Farm, will be held at Northern Michigan University on Thursday, Nov. 20. The music will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Berry Events Center.

With a style that has been described as a combination of rock/hip-hop and reggae, 311 has performed with such groups as Kiss, Jay-Z, No Doubt, Incubus, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. The group’s singles include "You Wouldn’t Believe," "Seems Uncertain," "Sometime Jacks Rule the Realm" and "Beyond Grey Skies."

Alien Ant Farm’s debut album, ANThology, featured a Michael Jackson cover, "Smooth Criminal," and topped out the billboard charts at number one. Drummer Mike Cosgrove describes the band as "… not really metal, not really punk, not really reggae, Latin, jazz, or pop – we’re a little bit of all those things."
