MARQUETTE – The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints will open its Family History Center for an afternoon tour offered by the Northern Center for Lifelong Learning. The event is from 1:30-4 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, at the Family History Center at 350 Cherry Creek Rd. in Harvey.
An experienced genealogist will show attendees through the library and explain the various types of family history records available. The center will also provide information on how to begin the process of investigating family history.
The registration deadline is Wednesday, Oct. 30. The cost is $3 for NCLL members and $6 for nonmembers. For more information or to register, call the NCLL office at (906) 227-2979.
