SPAGHETTI DINNER TO BE HELD AT ISHPEMING ARMORY

            MARQUETTE – An all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, April 25, at the Ishpeming Armory.

            Local police departments will be participating in the dinner and the entertainment which begins at 8 p.m. The departments will square off in a game similar to “The Weakest Link.” All proceeds from the dinner will go to the winner police officers’ charity of choice. Participating departments include the Marquette County Sheriff’s Department, the Marquette City Police Department, Northern Michigan University Public Safety and the Michigan State Police.

            Door prizes will also be given out during the evening. More than 100 prizes have been donated by local businesses.

            Tickets for the event cost a $2 minimum donation and can be purchased in advance or at the door. The event is sponsored by the crime prevention and community relations class at NMU.
