TEDDY BEAR DRIVE HAPPENING AT NMU

MARQUETTE – A teddy bear drive to benefit children who have to spend the holiday season in area hospitals is under way at Northern Michigan University.

The Student Michigan Education Association/Student Council for Exceptional Children (SMEA/SCEC) is collecting new teddy bears, other stuffed animals and children’s books through Wednesday, Nov. 26.

There are large cardboard boxes on the first floor of the Cohodas building next to the elevators and at the School of Education office in Whitman Hall.

At the end of the month, SMEA/SCEC will drop off the collected items at the children’s units of Marquette General Hospital and Bell Memorial Hospital so that they can be distributed.
