MARQUETTE – As part of a month-long Holocaust Awareness Project at Northern Michigan University, the following events are scheduled for Nov. 18-20.

            On Tuesday, Nov. 18, there will be “Readings from the Holocaust” by members of the Sigma Tau Delta English Honor Society from 7-8:30 p.m. in the Payne-Halverson Lobby at NMU.

At 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, in the Mead Auditorium in thw West Science Building, Ed Linenthal will present “Remembering the Holocaust in American Culture: an Illustrated Lecture.” Linenthal is a professor of religious studies at University of Wisconsin at Oshkosh and the author of Preserving Memory: The Struggle to Create America’s Holocaust Museum.

From 4:30-6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, in the Peter White Library Community Room, there will be a workshop on public history and memory.
