NMU HOLDS COMMUNITY FORUM ON BUDGET OUTLOOK

MARQUETTE – Northern Michigan University will hold a community forum to update residents on the possible higher education budget scenarios emerging from Lansing. President Les Wong will explain how proposed formula funding models and reductions in state support might impact NMU students, employees and operations, as well as the surrounding region.

The public is invited to attend. The forum is scheduled from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Monday, June 13, in the Charcoal Room of the University Center.

Some NMU offices with limited summer staffing may be closed earlier that afternoon, from 3-4:15 p.m., so that employees can attend a campus meeting.
