COLLEGE OF BUSINESS ANNOUNCES SCHOLARLSHIP RECIPIENTS

            MARQUETTE – The Northern Michigan University Walker L. Cisler College of Business has announced its scholarship recipients for 2005.

            Listed below are the winners and the scholarship(s) they received:

            Michigan (cities listed alphabetically)

            Alanson: Scott Kovtun, an accounting and finance junior, won the Keith Forsberg Accounting Scholarship; Amasa: Leanna Ketola, a management and French senior, won the Sam M. Cohodas College of Business Scholarship and the Fred C. and Jane B. Sabin Scholarship; Battle Creek: Marcus Doxey, an accounting and computer information systems (CIS) senior, won the Beta Gamma Sigma Scholarship and the Kenneth A. Larson Accounting Scholarship; Greenville: Kirby Shotwell, a marketing junior, won the Albert L. Quaal Scholarship; Gwinn: Tiffany Gilsdorf, a business management junior, won the Barrett Ludlow Scholarship; Eric Wakkuri, a CIS junior, won the Sam M. Cohodas College of Business Scholarship and the Colby Trinka Scholarship; Hancock: Steven Kass, a business education junior, won the Sam M. Cohodas College of Business Scholarship;

            Ishpeming: Anthony Bertucci, an accounting and finance senior, won the Sam M. Cohodas College of Business Scholarship and the Hetrick and Associates Scholarship; Lindsey Pepin, an accounting and CIS senior, won the Russell and Ella Christian Scholarship; Brent Outinen, an accounting and CIS senior, won the Anne and Robert Pecotte Scholarship and the Robert S. Myefski Memorial Scholarship; Kingsford: Heather Lidbeck, a marketing junior, won the Andrew and Theresa Brunswick Marketing Scholarship; Lake Linden: Catherine Rheault, a business management senior, won the Robert S. Myefski Memorial Scholarship; Lake Odessa: Ryan Werdon, an entrepreneurship and music junior, won the Lake Superior & Ishpeming Railroad Scholarship;

Marquette: Danielle Dionne, a business education post-baccalaureate student, won the Lorna Weddle Scholarship; Anne-Marie Gibbs, an entrepreneurship junior, won the Sam M. Cohodas College of Business Scholarship; Timothy Grimsby, a marketing junior, won the Albert L. Quaal Scholarship; Ryan Meyskens, a management junior, won the Sam M. Cohodas College of Business Scholarship and the Sherman Nebel Memorial Scholarship; Jennifer Nicholas, a marketing junior, won the Sam M. Cohodas College of Business Scholarship;

            Negaunee: Shannon Derocher, an accounting junior, won the Sam M. Cohodas College of Business Scholarship; Pelkie: Rebecca Salbashian, an accounting senior, won the Arthur Andersen & Company Scholarship; Skandia: Zachary Korpi, an accounting junior, won the Albert L. Quaal Scholarship; Jill Maki, an entrepreneurship senior, won the Sam M. Cohodas College of Business Scholarship and the Kenneth J. and Virginia A.

Bureau Sholarship; Stambaugh: Melissa Samuelson, an accounting and economics senior, won the John M. Longyear Scholarship; Wakefield: Jennifer Pikka, an accounting and CIS junior, won the Peter White Student Scholarship.

 

            Illinois

            Wadsworth: Chase Horman, an accounting and CIS junior, won the Arthur Andersen & Company Scholarship; Winthrop Harbor: Mark Link, an accounting and CIS senior, won the Makela, Toutant, Hill and Nardi Scholarship and the Arthur Andersen & Company Scholarship.

 

            Minnesota

            Cottage Grove: Heather Nelsen, a finance and accounting sophomore, won the Cleveland-Cliffs Foundation Scholarship and the Sam M. Cohodas College of Business Scholarship.
