MARQUETTE – Nine graduating students will be commissioned as officers in the U.S. Army "All Volunteer Force" by the Wildcat Battalion of Northern Michigan University. The ceremony will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 7, in the commons area of Whitman Hall.

            The following students will be commissioned. They are listed with their academic majors and commissioning components:

            Michigan (cities listed alphabetically)

            Farmington Hills: Michael Zultak, sports science, Army Infantry; Gladstone: Trent Anderson, elementary education, Army National Guard Quartermaster Corps; Hudsonville: Elisa Vanderpuy, nursing, Army Nurse Corps; Marquette: Jacob Davis, English, Army Chemical Corps; Alexander Gualdoni, criminal justice, Army National Guard Military Police Corps; James Kolky, a school counseling graduate student, Army Chemical Corps; Darnell Lollis, philosophy, U.S. Army Reserves Adjutant General; Rapid River: Anne Seeburger, child psychology, Army Chemical Corps.



            Chicago: Matthew Allen, accounting, Army Air Defense Artillery.
