MARQUETTE – Lynn Kuo, a statistics professor at the University of Connecticut, will present a seminar on microarray genomic data analysis at 4 p.m. Friday, April 15, in the Mead Auditorium in the West Science Building at Northern Michigan University.
Microarrays are used to investigate the expression levels of thousands of genes simultaneously. They present new statistical problems because the data is very high dimensional with very little replication.
The public is invited to attend this free event. The seminar is sponsored by the NMU biology and mathematics departments.
