MARQUETTE – Environmental change in Glacier National Park, Montana, will be the topic of a presentation at Northern Michigan University. Geography professor David Butler of Texas State University at San Marcos will speak at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, in room 3710 of the West Science Building.

            Butler specializes in geomorphology, the science of the nature and origin of the earth’s topographic features, and in mountain environments. He has written and contributed to several books and articles on these topics.

            The public is invited to attend this free event. It is sponsored by the NMU geography department and Gamma Theta Upsilon, the geography honor society. For more information call the geography department at 906-227-2500.
